Blo Blow Dry Bar

2020 As shipped · built during agency tenure · site has since changed hands

Blo Blow Dry Bar hit the scene in 2007 as North America’s first blow dry bar and has since grown to more than 100 franchise locations across three countries. By 2020 the brand was ready for a new franchise website and better-qualified leads: a rebuild that had to carry Blo’s vivacious “pink carpet” personality while making the business case plain.

I built the franchise recruitment site in tandem with the brand’s first PPC push, so the whole candidate journey felt like one effort. The site was rebuilt to Blo’s new design standards: clean layouts with pops of the brand’s signature pink, an approachable but professional tone, and skimmable pages that move candidates forward instead of burying them.

The copy put what candidates want most, like average unit volume, front and center instead of behind a form. A dedicated PPC landing page carried the same design language and used detailed financial information to prequalify inquiries before they reached the sales team.

The rebuild won a Communicator Award of Excellence for Best Franchise Recruitment Website.
